This is the best site I have found for custom designed e-cards. Very good customer service as well. They are pricier than many other e-card vendors, but in my opinion are completely worth the extra money.
I prefer custom designed paper holiday cards, however our list is big - about 600 - so our mailing has always been time consuming and expensive. Although I considered using an online format, I hadn’t found a vendor that enabled a high enough degree of customization. After finally discovering Greenvelope, we decided to try sending about 150 cards electronically as a test. These electronic cards are just as beautiful (and nearly identical) as our fully customized paper version, cost about 1/3 as much and of course are much kinder on the environment.
I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

Initially we planned to use Greenvelope.com for just the wedding Save-The-Dates. The bride had many designs to pick from that matched the her nautical wedding theme and colors. Once sent out, we received many positive responses and comments to the e-card. Our guests loved the photos, music, ability to leave comments to the couple, and multiple links to helpful resources to help out-of-town guests. We are so pleased that the guests loved the e-card that we have decided to continue using greenvelope for the wedding invitations, bridal showers, and multiple parties for the upcoming events. Let me tell you why: Immediate ability for your guests to reply; You can totally customize your card and add links to websites (for accommodations, registry, directions, etc); you can include data gathering from your guests for addresses, phone, menu choices, whatever you need; notification when the card is opened, auto-resent if it hasn't been opened and regular email reports tracking the progress of responses; notification if the email is incorrect; and it is very easy to use with excellent tutorials and help. Without the expense of custom printed invitations, postage and hand addressing, I know we are saving a lot of money too. However, as the mother of the bride, this is such a time saver for me and I have piece of mind knowing the card was received.

You won't read this from the many wedding planning sites or books that in general put-down e-invitations but I believe this is a much more personal approach to invitations than traditional cards. My daughter has been able to respond to many of the kind comments that people sent to her. Friends and relatives felt much more included in the happy couple's announcement because of the interactive nature of the card.
